On Wednesday, April 2, former Headland High School standout Tyson Kirkland’s current college team, the Columbus State Cougars, won 7-5 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Albany State Golden Rams.

The game took place at Golden Rams’ Field at West Campus. This was their second matchup against the Golden Rams this season.

The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 6 p.m. at Burger King Stadium at Ragsdale Field against Augusta Jaguars.

True freshman Constanza Quiroga led the Troy Trojans women’s golf team in the final round of The Ally at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi, finishing tied for 23rd place after shooting a 2-over 74.
