The Troy women’s basketball team will begin its 2025-26 Sun Belt Conference schedule following the league’s announcement on Thursday. The Trojans are coming off a season where they finished as WNIT runner-up and secured a top-4 seed for the tenth consecutive year.
Head coach Chanda Rigby commented on the upcoming season, stating, “We are excited that our conference schedule is now set. We will immediately begin preparing and planning to make a run at another Sun Belt title.”
Troy opens conference play with an away game against Old Dominion at Chartway Arena on December 17. After a break, the team resumes action on January 1 against Louisiana at the Cajundome and then faces Southern Miss at Reed Green Coliseum on January 3.
The first home conference game is scheduled for January 7 when Texas State visits Trojan Arena. Arkansas State, last year’s Sun Belt Conference Tournament champions, will also travel to Troy as the Trojans look to overcome their previous semifinal loss to the Red Wolves.
Troy continues its schedule with road games against ULM on January 14 and Texas State on January 17. The team returns home to host Georgia Southern and Georgia State on January 22 and January 24, respectively.
On January 28, Troy travels to face Marshall in the Cam Henderson Center—their first visit since 2023—before playing Coastal Carolina in Conway, South Carolina, on January 31.
In February, Troy has several home games including matchups against App State (February 4), Louisiana (February 12), ULM (February 14), and Southern Miss (February 21). A rivalry game against South Alabama is set for February 18. Additionally, Troy will play an away game against a MAC opponent on February 7; details about this matchup will be announced later.
The regular season concludes with road games at Arkansas State in Jonesboro on February 24 and South Alabama on February 27. The conference tournament begins March 3 in Pensacola, Florida, ending with the championship game scheduled for March 9.
