Troy University’s track and field team set three new school records at the Music City Challenge in Nashville. Benjamin Jaudon broke the men’s 60-meter hurdles record with a time of 7.90 seconds, surpassing the previous mark of 7.96 set by Casimir Tawiah in 2019. Jaudon advanced through the preliminary heats and semifinals before winning the final.
Antonio Blair established a new school record in the men’s 600 meters, finishing second overall with a time of 1:17.29. In the men’s triple jump, Malik Humphrey also finished second with a distance of 14.97 meters, which ranks him second in Troy’s indoor history.
The women’s relay team, consisting of Aaliyah Murphy, Rachel Whyte, Haley Wilson, and Kady Schwietz, recorded a season-best time of 3:42.72 in the indoor relay event. This performance placed them third overall at the meet and first on Troy’s all-time indoor list.
With these results, Troy has concluded its regular indoor season. The women’s team will compete next at the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships scheduled for February 23-24.
