Troy University’s men’s track and field team set three new school records during the Bob Pollock Invitational held in Clemson, South Carolina. The event took place over two days and saw several athletes from Troy achieve notable performances.
The men’s 4×400 relay team, consisting of Romario Taylor, Antonio Blair, Dawson Isbell, and Devyn Pearman, established a new school record with a time of 3:15.49. This performance surpassed the previous record of 3:16.98.
Lane Watson broke a decade-old school record in the men’s 5,000 meters by finishing in 15:17.10, which was 29 seconds faster than the prior mark of 15:46.47. Patterson Graham also set a new school record in the men’s mile with a time of 4:22.28.
In addition to these achievements, Faith Jones ran a personal best of 7.57 seconds in the women’s 60-meter hurdles, moving her up to third on Troy’s all-time list for that event.
Antonio Blair recorded another personal best with a time of 1:53.68 in the men’s 800 meters. Dawson Isbell (22.30) and Christian Buzzard (22.35) both achieved personal bests in the men’s 200 meters.
