Troy men’s tennis team won against both Tuskegee and Eastern Florida State on April 11 at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
The victories extend Troy’s winning streak to fourteen matches and keep the team undefeated at home. The matches were played as part of a doubleheader, with Troy securing a 7-0 win in each contest.
In doubles play against Tuskegee, Thiago Drozdowski and Steph Tavares Noale took Court 1 with a score of 6-1, while Yeray Andres Pastor and Ryusei Miyazato won on Court 3, 6-0. The Trojans continued their momentum into singles competition, where every match ended in straight sets in favor of Troy.
Facing Eastern Florida State later that day, the doubles teams again claimed victory on Courts 1 and 3. Drozdowski and Tavares Noale won their match with a score of 6-2, while Andres Pastor and Miyazato also posted a 6-2 result. In singles play, all six courts went to Troy players without dropping a set.
Before the first match began Saturday, senior Yeray Andres Pastor was recognized as part of Senior Day celebrations. The Trojans’ strong performance across both matches contributed to their ongoing success this season.
With these results, Troy men’s tennis continues its impressive run at home as it moves forward through the remainder of its schedule.
