Troy University’s men’s tennis team held a 3-1 lead over Alabama A&M before their match was postponed due to poor weather on Friday in Troy, Alabama.

The Trojans, with an 8-4 record, initially lost the doubles point to Alabama A&M. Juwan Bae and Yin Chih Lan secured a win for Alabama A&M on Court 2, while Tasso Moreira and Eduardo de Benedictis Andreta won on Court 3. The Bulldogs gained the early advantage by taking the doubles matches.

However, Troy responded during singles play. Luciano Alcocer, Thiago Drozdowski, and Yeray Andres Pastor each earned straight-set victories for the Trojans. The remaining singles matches on Courts 1, 4, and 5 were paused when sudden bad weather interrupted play. These matches will be completed at a later date.

The Trojans are scheduled to face UAB next at the Lunsford Tennis Complex after a day of rest.
