5.2% of Houston County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Houston County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 2,492 people out of the 106,355 living in Houston County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Houston County has decreased compared to the 5.6% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Houston County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.4%.
