Wallace faculty and staff recently participated in the Dothan Police Department's women's only RAD self-defense class, where they learned existing dangers and self-defense techniques suitable for women of all ages and physical abilities. The class is designed to give practical responses to women during various levels of confrontation, from passive verbal comments to severe aggressive attacks.
Thanks to the DPD and Wiregrass Public Safety Center for teaching these important classes to women in the Wiregrass, and to Ms. Keyashia Sheppard, WCCD Testing Officer and Professional Development Coordinator, for providing staff with the opportunity to participate.
